My Father-in-Law joined the U.S. Navy
57 years later...
his son is commissioned!
After jumping through many hoops this past year and a half, my husband is now a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
Now I suppose I will have to start calling him 'Sir'!!
